NHL News Round Up: Collective Bargaining Agreement, Return To Play, Tentative Playoff Dates
There’s a lot of off the ice things going on the in NHL right now.
The NHL, like a lot of other sports leagues, has a lot on it’s plate in this current pandemic shutdown. The league released some information in regards to host cities, play resumption dates, collective bargaining agreements and much more. Here’s the exact wording that answers some of those topics that the NHL send via press release:
In regards to the Phased Return To Sport Protocol:
As for the which cities will be hosting the NHL Playoffs, the league has settled on two Canadian cities. Edmonton and Toronto will host the 2019-20 NHL Playoffs with Toronto handling the Eastern Conference and Edmonton handling the Western duties. Edmonton gets the honour of hosting the Stanley Cup Finals, which will be in October. All games will be played in front of empty arenas.
