NHL Standings

The Flames will close out the month of November with a mini two game home stand that starts tonight with a visit from the Dallas Stars. Calgary hasn’t had a ton of success against the Stars at home lately as they own a 4-6-0 record against Dallas at the Dome and they’ve dropped 3 in a row to Dallas all together.

The Flames have played well as of late, winning 4 out of their last 5 and it’s been a goal bonanza for the good guys. In their 4 wins they’ve lit the lamp 23 times and only surrendered 8 goals to the opposition. This little run Calgary is on sees them in first place in the Pacific Division and 4th overall in the Western Conference.

Dallas has yet to really heat up this season and their 4-7-1 record over their last 12 is part of the problem. They’ve dropped 2 straight on their current road trip, scoring two goals total in losses to Colorado and Edmonton. The other problem the Stars seem to be having is they’re either locked into high scoring games or they have no offence whatsoever. A look at their last 5 losses shows that they’ve only scored 5 times. Yet in their last 5 victories they’ve scored 4 or more goals 4 times.
