Today’s Matchup:

Semifinal B: Matthew Tkachuk vs Johnny Gaudreau

The Case for Tkachuk: Tkachuk has been continually dropping jaws and silencing naysayers across the NHL this season with his phenomenal play. He continues to win the hearts of Flames fans with his truculent performances and consistently brings energy to games. Tkachuk has towed the line this season with some questionable plays but has shown himself to be a pivotal part of the franchise’s future.

The Case for Gaudreau: Come on, it’s Johnny Hockey. Undoubtedly the highest skilled player on the team, Gaudreau has had a great turnaround in the last 20-30 games after struggling early. Gaudreau has been to three all-star games and continues to wow us on a nightly basis. He’s a fan favorite with the Flames and will be a star in the NHL for a long time. What a steal in the 4th round of the 2011 draft.
