Brianne Jenner, possible member of the Calgary Inferno?

Rebecca Johnston, Haley Irwin… and now, perhaps, Brianne Jenner?

The Olympic gold medalist and Cornell graduate announced last Thursday her entrance into the 2015 CWHL Draft with the hopes of being selected by the Inferno, as she will be doing her Master's in Public Policy at the University of Calgary. If chosen, she would join fellow Olympians mentioned above, as well as a handful of Big Red teammates (including Johnston, Jessica Campbell and Hayleigh Cudmore).

Jenner led the ECAC in points during her senior season, scoring 15 goals and 36 assists and also scoring a Top-10 nod for the Patty Kazmaier Award (given to the top women's college hockey player at the end of each season). Along with her gold in Sochi in 2014, she won one gold and two silver medals at the Women's Worlds (2012 gold, 2013 and 2015 silver) and a silver medal in the Women's Under-18 Worlds in 2008.

Adding Jenner to the roster would certainly boost an already offensively-inclined Inferno team, not to mention giving it even more star power with a name like hers. But the Inferno aren't done yet; they're holding a press conference tomorrow to announce another big name's intention to join the ranks. Stay tuned for more this week.
