Adirondack Eliminated from Playoffs

Published

The Adirondack Flames were mathematically eliminated from the playoff’s while they were off this week – following the Toronto Marlies’ 5-2 defeat of the Iowa Wild Tuesday night. The team’s elimination was really inevitable, after the Flames’ back-to-back home losses to Lake Erie last weekend.

With the roster impacts from call ups, injuries and a trade – the Flames have been challenged over the past two months. They are 3-7-0 in their last 10 games, where they have had to rely on a steady stream of players on ATOs to fill their lineup.

Although disappointing for the Glens Falls faithful, everyone is also very excited to watch the young players who were here earlier in the season making a difference in Calgary's first playoff appearance in six years.

Adirondack's season comes to a completion this weekend – at Syracuse Friday night and hosting Utica and Rochester Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, respectively.
