Calgary Flames

Thoughts from Adirondack

Over the past month or so, I have purposely not write about all the off ice activity associated with the pending Pacific Division of the AHL. Perhaps because much was in the rumor phase, but more likely – I have been in a bit of denial.

Having the Flames in Glens Falls this season has been a true pleasure. The buzz in town and on game nights, all the Calgary and Adirondack sweaters around, and that roar in our small rink due to the tempo of play on the ice has been truly special. I share with you a link from this mornings local paper – as I think the Editor, Ken Tingley expresses the feelings of many more eloquently than I can.

I am very appreciative to have the Flames in our town, even if it is only for a short time. Next post will be back to on ice activities. Go Flames.
