Mostly the Western Conference in action tonight, as the lone Eastern club involved in a game is the Buffalo Sabres, hosting the San Jose Sharks and looking for the rarest of things – a Buffalo winning streak. They’ve won their first two after the break, including a 5-4 overtime thriller over the Boston Bruins on Wednesday. Of course, the Sharks won’t be easy targets for the NHL’s doormat, boasting six 30 point players (the Sabres have two). Tune in at 5PM MST.

The Phoenix Coyotes try to stake their claim on a lower playoff berth, as they visit the high-flying Colorado Avalanche at 7PM. The Vancouver Canucks will host the Minnesota Wild at 8PM, and the Ducks will host the St. Louis Blues in Anaheim.
