Jay Feaster and the Abbotsford Heat question

As a Tampa Bay Lightning fan, I've got a bit of a curiosity toward Flames GM Jay Feaster and his relationship with the Flames farm club in Abbotsford.

While Jay had worked in the Hershey Bears organization before taking a gig with the Lightning (working specifically on contracts, though that eventually led to his climb to GM), Tampa Bay had one of the weaker developmental systems in the league during his tenure as GM. Partly ownership related (money spent on the farm team was money taken away from pyroll for the bi club, or other big-club money losses).

Knowing Jay is now involved in the rebuilding of the Flames, and some of that talent comes by way of what goes on in Abbotsford, I'm curious to know if Feaster is known for traveling to BC to see the Heat in action and check up on the organization? How often does he do it, if at all?

Everyone's primary concern should be the big club and how well the Flames are performing, but when injuries or complications arise ion the Calgary roster, the way to fill holes is through the farm team -- or selling off assets to cover for roster losses, which Jay sometimes did in Tampa with mixed results.
