John Gaudreau might have lost out on the Hobey Baker Award to St. Cloud State senior Drew LeBlanc, but the Flames' NCAA prospects did not come away empty handed tonight.

Providence goaltender John Gillies, selected in the third round by the Flames at the 2012 NHL entry draft, won the Nation Rookie of the Year award today:

Gillies had a 2.08 GAA and a .931 SV% with five shutouts in 35 games for the Providence College Friars this season.
