Oopsies. - Bruce Bennett
The Flames hope to build on the positive results of their win against Detroit on Tuesday night when they visit the Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena in Columbus tonight, albeit without Miikka Kiprusoff. It looks like Leland Irving might be in net tonight, which is somewhat surprising after the Flames signed Danny Taylor yesterday, but is the back-up after all; he played well in his one period of action against the Wings and there's nothing wrong with giving him another chance against what should be an inferior opponent (although the Flames have struggled against those this season). The Jackets have three wins and seven points in 10 games so far this season.
Here are your projected lines and pairings:
Flames:
Cammalleri*-Tanguay-Iginla
Cervenka-Stajan-Hudler
Glencross-Backlund-Stempniak
Begin-Jones-Comeau
Jackman
Giorano-Bouwmeester
Brodie-Wideman
Smith-Butler
Irving
* Mike Cammalleri is a game-time decision, according to Flames Nation's preview.
Blue Jackets (via the Cannon):
Derick Brassard - Brandon Dubinsky - Nick Foligno
R.J. Umberger - Artem Anisimov - Derek Dorsett
Matt Calvert - Mark Letestu - Vinny Prospal
Colton Gillies - Derek MacKenzie - Jared Boll
