If the NHL and the NHLPA can come to terms on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement by the time the current one expires on September 15th, the Calgary Flames will play their first game of the 2012-13 season at home on Thursday, October 11th against the Vancouver Canucks.

Some highlights of the season will include a New Year's Eve tilt against the Boston Bruins (because playing them was just so enjoyable last time), two five-game homestands, a five-game road trip through the Central division and with stops in Carolina and Montreal, All-Star Weekend in Columbus from January 24th-28th, and Hockey Day in Canada on February 9th. The Flames will also make their first trip to the MTS Centre since the return of the Jets on February 28th.

The full schedule can be seen here.

If there are there any particular games or events that you're looking forward to this season, proceeding with cautious optimism that there will indeed be one, make sure to include them in the comments!
