TAMPA, FL - MAY 04: Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals arrives for game 4 between the Capitals and the Lightning. He is not his usual celebratory self as the Capitals hope to avoid a potential sweep. May 4, 2011 in Tampa, Florida. (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images)
Three games tonight and one potential elimination game.
The Capitals are staring into the abyss. Once again the almost impossible challenge of coming back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series is upon them, as it was upon the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round. It has only been done 3 times in NHL history and with the way Dwayne Roloson is playing, the Capitals will have their work cut out for them.
Alex Ovechkin is looking down and seems to not be able to solve the Bolts. Ovechkin and the new and much improved regular season Capitals are still looking for even a Conference Final appearance, never mind a Conference Final win. The Capitals still do not look like they can translate regular season success into playoff glory.
The Bruins lead the series 2 games to none and this team is looking like it is up to redeem itself from last years humiliation of being one of those historic 3 teams to lose a series while being up 3-0. The Flyers problems in goal is growing just as Tim Thomas for the Bruins is getting larger and harder to beat in the Bear net.
The Sharks have an oppurtunity to take a stranglehold tonight on their series, just as the Bruins do. I am not counting the Red Wings out though, can you ever. I expect a Wing win.
