Congratulations to your 2010 Stanley Cup Champs, the Chicago Blackhawks

There are few things more spectacular than watching a team celebrate its Stanley Cup victory. Watching each and every Blackhawks player and staff member share the trophy amongst family and friends with big goofy smiles on their faces and their eyes brimming with tears is yet another reminder of why I love this game. Jonathan Toews, the youngest player ever to join the “Triple Gold Club,” the inspirational rags-to-riches story of Dustin Byfuglien, and Marian Hossa finally getting his chance to hoist the cup in his third consecutive Finals appearance–these are just a few of the reasons why this cup win, signifying the end of a 49-year drought for the Blackhawks, is so special. Congratulations Chicago, to say you deserve this is an understatement. I can only hope to feel what you’re all feeling some day.

With that in mind, October can't come soon enough.
