Around SBN: When Dwyane Wade Lost His Cool

After being down 3-1 in the series, the Abbotsford Heat defeated the Rochester Americans 2-0 in game seven to advance to the second round of the AHL playoffs, where they will meet Montreal's AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs. John Lammers and Olivier Latendresse scored for the Heat with assists by Sutter and Pelech while Shantz made 24 saves for the shutout. The Heat outshot Rochester 40-24 in the game.

Another tough climb for the Heat. It’s a must for them to steal a game or two in Steeltown and it’s also a must for them not get behind 3-1 to a much better Bulldog squad but if the Habs do beat the Caps tomorrow the Bulldogs could be without P.K. Subban so who knows.

Jump on the Coyotes Bandwagon, And throw a Snake or two.

Go Heat Go. THE CALDER CUP PLAYOFFS!!! THE FINEST ACTION AROUND.

Was listening last night. The game basically started the same as Detroit and Phoenix did with the Heat playing the role of the Red Wings. Shots at one point were 26-3, and if not for Tyler Plante, the score would have been a hell of a lot worse than 2-0.

According to Abby’s play by play man, the Heat became the first team in AHL history to win games six and seven on the road to win a series.
