Was updating the Wikipedia article for this season as I am wont to do, and I realized that hadn't realized just how amazingly bizarre this season has been.

Fleury's exhibition heroics seem so long ago. Remember the H1N1 scandal? Yeah, me neither.

THIRTEEN trades this season. We made only fourteen in the previous three seasons combined. Half our roster was not here a month ago. Chemistry is overrated, right?

If you told me on October 1 that we would be battling the Red Wings for playoff position, I would have been estatic. Who would've guessed?

In all fairness it wasn’t like the team had any before the trades.

But yes it’s been a strange strange road this season, let’s do the timewarp dance and look back at the early season…

Oh what a day that was… our newly minted Top Line LW David Moss(Eh?) scored the GW goal, our dynamite PP(!) Led by Dion Phaneaf(!) and Jay Bouwmeester produced but the real story was the sheer moxie of our fourth line affectionately called Prustrom for Fredden Sjostrom(!), Brandon Prust(!) and Eric Nystrom.

Really though, I can’t think of a larger midseason change ever to happen to a pro-hockey club. How the hell did D. Sutter fuck up the past offseason so much? Let’s just hope that someone will take Kotalik and Staois/Sarich off our hands in the offseason. In the meantime I’m just gonna watch hockey and hope the team does well.

thirteen trades, to me, is a sign of a desperate GM.
he’s got to go. he has to. ken king too, i’m afraid. i hope someone is reading this shit.

I can understand the frustration with Darryl Sutter, but Ken King? Not a freaking chance. He’s the business guy, and he’s worked miracles with the business of the Flames, especially on the heels of the disaster that was Ron Bremner.

Yeah Erin I’m going to have to disagree with you there, Ken King has been a fantastic President.

Make’s me smile looking back at things.

What can you do?

Shit Happens.
