Which one, though? As someone pointed out in another thread, you generally don’t trade away a player after dressing them for only a couple of games (although Sutter doesn’t seem to give a shit about what you “do” and “don’t do” in any situation), so who of the original Flames cast would you be willing to see gone? Discounting Iggy and Bourque, we’ve got Langkow, Glencross, Moss, and Dawes as being the only guys of particular value to another team. Langkow has been discussed many times by various folk around, with the answer always being “it would end up being a lateral move at best” (although if he was packaged with Boyd, maybe a True First Line Centre™ could be gained); as beneficial as Langks has been to the Flames, his faceoff terribleness has always bothered me, and Stajan could be a serviceable second line replacement. Anyway, of the other three, I don’t think getting rid of any of them is a good idea due to their excellent contract value.
