Meanwhile the Flames assigned Jamie Lundmark to Abbotsford of the AHL. Lundmark was recalled from the Flames top affiliate on January 8. He played in the last two games, scoring a goal and a shootout winner against Vancouver on Saturday.

Tampa's Blair Jones clears waivers; Calgary puts Staffan Kronwall on waivers.

There is some speculation on calgarypuck that the Lundmark reassignment is in name only and that he'll be instantly recalled once Kronwall either clears or is claimed. If that's the case he'll soon become waiver eligible.
