Chucko still Solid
The guy was a good soldier in the minors – that is – a warrior after Darryl’s own heart.
i would say the only reason the guy gets a new deal is because he was a first round draft pick, and sutter isn’t gonna give up on him just yet. sure, chucko had a not-bad season in the QC last year, but let’s be honest: when we look back on the 2004 draft, pardy, boyd & (debateably) prust will fall into the “vyable NHLers” category, while chucko will most likely join cracknell, seitsonen, fred wilkner & kris hogg in the “ah, well” group.

Boyd
He is gonna be on the move….
Things are not what they seem.
Boyd’s stand-in, an in-house minor leaguer,
or a Lesser Journeyman from The Northeast,
will have to fight for ice time.
Reality bites. Dammit.
He said on the radio today they are just arguing over some minor details of Boyd’s contract. Take that for what it’s worth, given Sutter’s penchant for misdirection when talking with the media.
I hope he gets Boyd done. If not, then try getting Tom Kaberle? Alotta Ontario players available, Primeau getting $1.4 Million-More than Conroy? what? Wondering if Brian Burke would bite or not.
The Flames have 23M invested in their blueline already and at least 3 capable PP blueliners in Bouwmeester, Phaneuf and Giordano. Kaberle addresses none of the teams weaknesses and needlessly adds to it’s primary strength.
additionally, i’m not sure how getting kaberle in lieu of boyd makes any sense at all….

Haha niulrama that was the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Primeau for kaberle. My god I hope TLP puts that on the stupidest trade proposals ever list for that weekly article he does on puck daddy

So, Adam Pardy is wearing number 7 this season. Is it being too optimistic to presume the Flames have finally, officially, closed the books on Mr. Bertuzzi?
Not at all. We’ve seen the back of that guy for sure now. YAY!
