Flames go all "new media" on us
The Calgary Flames have launched the 'C of Red', a social network/blog type site. It'll be interesting to see what kind of writing they'll have (allow) and what kind of traffic they generate.

For one… it’s most of the league, we (and the Sens) just got stuck with it first.
We’ll see what happens with it, but for the moment, give it time, ‘cause it’s buggy as hell and should really be classified as “beta” (or worse) at the moment.

Yeah, I figured this would be a league-wide initiative seeing as all the websites are basically the same. Like Subversive says below, my expectations for it are low.

If it doesn’t suck, I’ll be exceedingly shocked.

But be honest, it’s a much bigger yay than boo, right? It is for me. I’ll take Andre Roy at the minimum to sit in the press box most nights over sparklepants at any price.

True.
Still, I dont think it means anything. Cap Geek shows Roy as UFA and all of the Flames new contracts are showing up there.

You never asked me before, that’s why. :) Ever since I read that story that one of you fine folks posted it’s been my nickname for him.
