Flames Acquire Bouwmeester...'s rights.

According to TSN, the Flames have moved the rights to Jordan Leopold and a 3rd round pick for the negotiating rights to Jay Bouwmeester.
This doesn't guarantee anything, but it would surprise me if Sutter fails to sign JayBo after grabbing him. According to rumors, the native Edmontonian's better half is Calgarian and he is building a house in town. The question becomes: how much? For how long? And who gets the boot from the back-end (because there's no way the club can carry all that salary)?

Folks, until you watched the Flames down the stretch last year, you don’t know what “choke” means.
In addition, the Panthers play-off hopes were based on smoke and mirrors. I said so back in February. Their fall back to earth was pretty much inevitable and hardly due to Bouwmeesters perceived failings.
