Some encourging news?

The Flames have put Anders Eriksson on re-entry waivers so if anyone picks him up it's pretty much giving the Flames the middle finger as Rob Kerr said last week, and the Flames should have Andre Roy, Dion Phaneuf, Rene Bourque and Curtis Glencross back no word on Regehr or Sarich.

As for the call ups

Dustin Boyd, David Van der Gulik, Kyle Greentree, Leland Irving and Warren Peters

And will all know when Bourque went down the Flames started slumping and I'm sure there's nothing better then handing your old team a loss.

Alll good. naturally the team will look very different come Thursday than it did last Satruday.

That said, what I REALLY want to hear is “Robyn Regehr healthy and set to return”.

From reading some insiders looks like Sarich is getting better each practice but for sure I’d love to see Regehr back probably not for Game’s 1 and 2 but 3 or 4 could be a possibility.

No, games 3 and 4 are not a possiblity. Regehr is out with a partially torn MCL. He is not coming back for the first round, at all.

I am not familiar with the mechanics of leg ligaments and am curious – how does one get this kind of tear from hitting the boards the way Regehr did?
